Use a Different New Tab Than the Workona New Tab

Don't want Workona on your new tab?

Your browser will use whatever new tab extension was most recently installed. To use a different extension for your new tab, simply install the new tab extension you want to use after you've installed the Workona extension.

If you find a new tab extension you want to try after installing Workona:

  1. Simply install the extension you want on the new tab like you normally would.
  2. Open a new tab. You should now see the other new tab extension there, and can continue to use Workona from our extension icon or by going to workona.com/0/.

If you already had your desired new tab extension installed prior to installing Workona:

  1. Before proceeding, make sure your data from the other new tab extension is backed up (either exported or backed up in the cloud) or you may lose data in the other extension.
  2. Once your data in the other extension (e.g. Momentum) is backed up, go to the URL chrome://extensions in your browser.
  3. Locate the other extension on the extensions page, then click the Remove button.
  4. Go to the Chrome Web Store on Google Chrome, Microsoft Store on Microsoft Edge, or addons.mozilla.org (AMO) site on Firefox and search for the extension you just removed.
  5. Reinstall the extension you want on the new tab.
  6. Open a new tab. You should now see the other new tab extension there, and can continue to use Workona from our extension icon or by going to workona.com/0/.
